HEALTH OF WORKERS AND RETIREMENT AT A PUBLIC INSTITUTION
Abstract
Jobs play an important role in shaping the individual's identity and people's relation have with them affects health directly. Losing this identification aspect may affect people's health, this sort of relation is noticed in the retirement process. The goal of this article is to analyse and explain a retirement preparation group's conduction, created in a federal public institution. It was a qualitative research, and data were collected from a field journal, setting a case study. Nine meetings were held, with themes brought up according to the demands of the participants. For the analysis of the results, Psychodynamics of Work and Psychosociology were used, encompassing a theoretical and a heterogenous dialogue, as before mentioned by the Clinics of Work. From that, we can affirm that it is important to discuss retirement as a matter of healthy and as a space to be achieved in the practice of a psychologist of work.
