Social skills and levels of use of information and communications technologies in teenagers from high schools in Luque
Abstract
A direct relationship between social skills and addiction to the internet or social networks has been observed. This study focuses on establishing the relationship between social skills and levels of use of Information and Communications Technologies in 78 teenagers of 14 to 17 years old, from a random selected high school from Luque. A quantitative, cross-sectional study and a descriptive-correlational design was used. The results evidence a direct and weak relationship between social skills and the levels of use of Information and Communications Technologies in general. A direct and moderate relationship was found between social skill and the “educational” use dimension.
