Contributions from Psychology to Education. About his Denomination, History and Development

Abstract

This article aims to propose a name designating the field of psychology in education and clarify relevant to the activities developed there. Since its beginnings, psychology has had a direct relationship to education, but there has been difficulty to call it and clarify what it does not lack in their name, but on the contrary. As it pertains to its origin, is associated with the contributions of Greek philosophers and the birth of Psychological Science. In Latin America dating back to 1889. As its scope, every day more scenario in which it operates and develops activities, today it is found in many organizations. From the analysis of the information is evidenced that the most relevant name is the l of Educational Psychology and its activities and left the educational field and is in all other career fields.
