Abstract

Validate the scale of self-control of impulses for the self-control of alcohol consumption among workers in the industry. It developed in stages. The first consistency in the adaptation of the instrument and the phase of proceeding to evaluate the internal consistency and validity of the construction of the self-control instrument of alcohol consumption. The internal consistency was a = .80 considered acceptable. In relation to the validity of the construction, a correlational method was used, for example, with the total scale, where the values of the items showed a positive and significant correlation with the total value (p = .000), as well as factorial analysis by main components and rotation. Varimax showing a total of three factors. Conclusion. The scale validation analysis reports good levels of reliability and validity to use it in investigations of alcohol consumption in workers as a comprehensive prevention of addictions in the work area.
