Abstract

Identify tobacco and alcohol consumption in adolescents. Descriptive study with a sample of 75 adolescents chosen for convenience enrolled in a secondary school in a suburban area of Saltillo, Coahuila. A personal data card was used, prevalences global, làpicas, current and instantaneous prevalence of tobacco and alcohol, Test Fagerström and AUDIT. The male predominated with 58.7% (f = 44), the average age of onset of tobacco and alcohol consumption was 14 years. 17.3% have smoked and 37.3% have consumed alcohol in both cases at some time in their lives. 17.3% of adolescents manage a low nicotine dependence, 2.6% of alcohol consumption is sensible in adolescents. The analysis of the prevalences of consumption of licit substances such as tobacco and alcohol support the diagnosis, prevention and implementation of risky consumption or dependence on adolescents.
