QUALITY OF LIFE IN ADOLESCENTS
Abstract
Adolescents constitute the majority of the world population, the characteristic changes of this stage of the human development position them in a vulnerable condition, in addition to being influenced by the context in which them develop. Studying the quality of life in the healthy population may contribute to increase strategies to improve it. The aim of the study was to know if there are differences in the perception of dimensions which define the quality of life in adolescents from peripheral areas and urban areas. Data analysis was performed through t-Student for independent samples, finding significant differences in two of the 10 quality of life dimensions measured by the Kidscreen-52.
