Abstract

The study of mental processes that predict performance has created significant advances in recent decades. A large number of researches correspond to intellectual processes. However, since beginning of 21st century, various non-intellectual processes have been investigated. This paper analyzes the factorial structure of Inventario de Componentes
del Rendimiento ICR (Espínola & Medina, 2018) to verify construct validity in 350 Paraguayan adults. This is an empirical and descriptive-correlational study, with a quantitative approach within a non-experimental cross-sectional design. Exploratory factor analyzes were realized and a three-factor structure was found: (a) commitment, (b) psychological capital, and (c) core evaluations and responsibility. Otherwise, confirmatory factor analysis verified the latent structure of three factors. Main conclusion is evidence of ICR validity has been increased and future applications are discussed.
