Abstract

The relationship between anxiety and stress has investigated in students of the Adult Education Program of a private university in the context of COVID-19 in the city of Lima. It was a non-experimental, correlational, cross-sectional, quantitative study, applying questionnaires such as Spielberger's anxiety scale (1972) and Cabanach et al.'s inventory (2010) in a sample of 270 students from three professional careers. Sixty-one percent showed mild anxiety and 70% regular stress during the observation time in the context of the COVID-19. Likewise, it was evidenced that as 'anxiety' increases, 'stress' also increases with the same synergy in these students, showing that the same thing happens between the dimensions 'state anxiety' and 'trait anxiety' and the stress variable. Nevertheless, it recommended that stress and anxiety has evaluated in detail as a mental health problem that has been accentuated by the pandemic caused by Sars-CoV-2 in this same type of people.
