Correlational analysis between academic performance and psychological well-being in university students from Sonora, México
Abstract
At present, psychological well-being has received greater attention due to the changes and pressures to which young people are subjected. The correlational study aims to know and identify if there is any relationship that is significant between psychological well-being and academic performance among students of a private university in Sonora, using a sample of 100 university students aged between 18 and 34 years. The correlation was determined by Pearson's coefficient and the Psychological Well-being Scale proposed by Carol Ryff and academic performance. Among the results, statistically significant correlations were found between the dimensions of environmental dominance and personal growth belonging to psychological well-being in relation to academic performance, concluding that both variables are positively correlated despite not all being significant.
