Critical Psychology for Latin America
Abstract
This article addresses the relationship between critical psychology and marxism, in response to the Latin American political and social context. Recognizing the current situation of the dominant psychology in the region, which reproduces the conditions of oppression, evidencing the need for politicization and a praxis in the service of the working class. Retaking Holzkamp's proposal on the relationship between individual and social praxis, where the material and historical conditions directly influence individuals, claiming a committed professional praxis, which promotes the transformation of such conditions.
